Academic Promise Scholarship

The CollegeBoundfund Academic Promise Scholarship is designed to recognize the academic promise of the Rhode Island students who have the greatest need and have demonstrated their academic promise. The program makes a financial promise to the students, as long as they maintain their academic promise.

Scholarship Searches

The Internet is an excellent resource for various scholarship search programs. Two suggested web sites to assist in seeking private sources of scholarships on a national level are:

Fastweb (www.fastweb.com): A scholarship search program
Finaid (www.finaid.org): A source for information on all aspects of financial aid with links to scholarship searches

To assist in seeking Rhode Island-based sources of scholarships, we suggest:

The Rhode Island Foundation (scholarship.rifoundation.org)
The Education Partnership (www.educationpartnership.org)

In addition to using the Internet in your scholarship search, we encourage you to visit your public library and, if currently in high school, your guidance office for scholarship information.

Also, be sure to contact your parents' and your places of employment and any organization, association, club etc. to which you or a family member may belong to determine if they offer scholarships to employees/members or their family members.
